Scent Profile: Breu Branco, Amber, Bitter Orange & Bergamot, Animalic Musk

What is this mysterious/Familiar scent?

Believe it or not it's origins are in the Brazilian Amazon! The resins that seep from the Breu Branco Tree, or what I like to call "The Barbershop Tree" are truly mesmerizing! Those mysterious, resinous aromatics of Breu Branco scream classic man. Not indigenous in the least, but 30's, 40's even 50's classic civilized man. So much so it needed little tweaking in our lab.

"Breu-Branco" or white Breu, is a resin (or sap) from an Amazon tree, in the US it is virtually unknown but in Brazil it is used by perfume companies and as an essential oil in home remedies. The resin itself has been used by the forest population for centuries for its reported medicinal properties. Churches and tribes still burn it for its aromatic scent and calming, concentring properties.

There is a top note of Amber to enhance the already naturally occurring Talc-like scent and a twist of Bitter Orange & Bergamot for color. Lastly, I treated the blend with a thimble full of animalic musk to heighten the primal, natural musk already present in the resin, to give shape as well as anchor it.
As exotic as it sounds I believe you will find it very familiar and ultra masculine. You will immediately understand why it is part of the "Smelltrack" of our ongoing adventure saga! So join us now as our fateful expedition begins...High Jump 47!

Criminally underrated scent. Also the closest to Oubliette for those that are missing that one since it was retired.
