I’ve been everywhere in the last two years
From Inexpensive razors and brushes to high end material, I have sold and bought way to many items both inexpensive and expensive.
One thing that I kept noticing is that I was always reaching out for the same few razors all the time without even thinking about it, somehow it was an unconsciously action from my part while the rest of my gear kept untouched for years lol.
I liked and enjoyed both sides of the spectrum, I’ve been reducing my gear (in fact already did with my DE razors) and left only what I really use and enjoy on a daily basis which came out to only four DE razors, from which 2 are high end, one is mid range and the last one is very inexpensive.
If I were to pick while blindfolded, out of all of these razors the result would be very close to the same:
Super nice shaving.
It’s not about the price range is about what make you feel comfortable without breaking the bank.
Specially now in days we have so many options were to choose from, to fit any budget if you ask me.
Perfect example for me was the Sebum soap
I was forcing myself to like it for months, I bought almost every color and scent available and spend a lot of money on the process and for what ????
Just to realize that I don’t like it, it doesn’t matter if is the most luxurious and expensive fancy soap out there my skin doesn’t like it period. I’m better off with Catie’s bubbles.
Sometimes expensive doesn’t mean the best out there.
The only problem that I have found out is that
Sometimes good reviews and advise doesn’t cut it, you need to try it by yourself in order to “know” and this process cost money specially if aiming for the high end products.
I literally owned around 40 different low end high end DE razors in the past just to find out that I only like 4 from all of them.
It was a nice intriguing adventure but at the same time it takes time and money to find out, and same goes for the brushes etc etc ...
If is true that “trial and error “ is your best friend when it comes to what’s best for you, at the same time is frustrating sometimes.
I guess we have to take it easy and one thing at the time lol...
by the way, I never post anything on SOTD (every now and then ) but I love to watch it.
It’s entertaining and informative.
