I went for it and made a decision. I just purchased SMN shave cream. Im really excited to try it.

I didn't purchase the SMN Tobacco Toscana Cologne - I researched and brought the much, MUCH cheaper RazoRock Santa Maria aftershave. I thought why spend $135 on the SMN cologne - Ill try the cream out with a similar but cheaper splash - If I really like the cream Ill then buy the SMN cologne. For now I have a cheaper option to keep me going.

Anyone know of any good, unscented moisturizers, gels or balms that might "slot in between' the SMN cream and the RazoRock aftershave?

When it comes to balms, lately I quite like Soap Commander’s Integrity (menthol free), which is unscented. Absorbs quickly without leaving any residue. If I feel I need something a little heavier, I’ve been using Mystic Water Soap’s unscented whipped shea butter for a short while now, but it does have a bit of a scent, and may leave the skin a bit shiny, or at least give some extra glow.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Thanks - ill take a look at both. I am, however hoping that the SMN cream performs well enough for me not to need a moisturizer - and just go straight to the slash.

That could very well be the case, especially as temperatures (and possibly humidity) rise. Though it is nice to have a backup for those days when the skin just feels a little tight, for whatever reason.

LOL - I live in Alaska, temperatures don't rise much here Smile What's humidity?

I did remember you mentioning Alaska earlier, so I knew that “conditions may vary”. I was born and raised in Finland myself, so I know what dry air and dry skin feels like. Confused (At the same time I must say that summers there can be quite humid, so throughout the year there are plenty of opportunities to experience various “feels” on the skin.)

I live in relatively dry Cali, and I have dry skin, and when I use SMN I never have felt the need to use a moisturizer. Just my 2 cents.

Kudos on pulling the trigger! You will not be disappointed.

Where I live, we get around 40 days a year with clear skies. Average temperature in the summer is 64F, and average rainfall is 170 inches ((14 feet)!

Are you sure you don't live in Michigan? Tongue

I kid, we don't get anywhere near that much rain.
