I thought I had seen a review on the website for a Ti22 razor and was curious....

I bought a Hensen a couple weeks back and I have a major problem. In fact I'm really quite annoyed with Hensen.

Here's the thing. Since I've used this razor I can't for the life of me justify the purchase of anything else. I mean, I'm as guilty as the next guy to want to try and own every razor available. I read these reviews where someone says xyz razor gives the best, problem free, best ever shave and I think, I need to own this razor. RAS is a real thing.

But then today I used my Hensen. And dang, I just got a truly perfect shave, maybe the best ever, no irritation, no burn, no nicks cuts or other problems. And I really didn't think about it. I'm sorta new to wet shaving so my technique is still a work in progress, but with the Hensen I really don't need to be completely focussed and aware every little thing.

So what's a guy to do? Is my goal to get the best possible shave with the smallest amount of work or grief, or do I want a new piece of hardware that I can look at and brag about to my forum buddies? And what of my self image, do real men only use expensive, difficult and potentially irritating gear just to be manly? Is using a Hensen cheating, it's not "real" DE shaving? Is this razor just a cartridge razor that uses a DE blade, so I'm not a true member of the DE fraternity?

So I'm really annoyed with Hensen. Much as I'd love to jump down the rabbit hole and buy loads of new gear, I can't for the life of me justify it. What's the point? So Hensen has made it impossible to consider anything else. No more dreaming about, reading about, studying, researching, or the thrill of opening that new box. Just using the same razor day in and day out. Boring.

Curse you Hensen!

FreeBlues , you could just get all of the various colour combinations of the Henson razor if you really want to get some more DE razors. Smile

Don’t worry, it sounds like they’ll release more aggressive plates to use, ultimately satisfying any RAS that may creep in.

Women's = Mild
Mens = mild or medium
This option was added so men who would like Mild, would not have to select a women's razor to get that Smile

Lots explained:
1st batch
No engraving = (Men's)Medium  ---   back in the beginning it was only Men and Women to denote mild an medium...bad move)
One small dot = (women's) Mild

2nd batch
L00:1 M  = medium
L00:1 W  = mild

3rd batch
L:002 M  = medium
L:002 W  = mild

Moving forward we aim to streamline the nomenclature crababble.
Especially because there likely be 2 more levels of aggression, thou, likely only available in the Titanium and Tungsten models.

Hope this clears things up.  lemme know if you have more unknowns.
Thank you Sir, I have a 2nd batch Medium

Thank you for clarifying things - it’s been really helpful.

I’m liking the sound of a Tungsten razor - it is a material I’ve never seen used before in a razor design.

Welcome.  We are excited too.  We have made a few prototypes and the weight is unreal.  To be honest, the emotions are mixed, but ultimately we are settled that this is a neat option to sell.  Out of this world heavy, then a little awkward for a moment, but then very practical with a feeling of royalty or elite.

To Henson Tech: Please put me on the list to try your more aggressive Aluminum version as well as the heavier Tungsten or Ti versions. I noticed that you had PM turned off in your DFS options, so I was unable to send you a message with my contact information. I sent a reply via the comment section of your website, but have not received a response. Look forward to hearing from you.
