HELP! Brush Handle Paint

Hello brush guys, chemists and guys smarter than me…
I need your thoughts.

I have a new artisan handle on the way.
I will need to “disguise” the drilled hole because part of the handle is clear.
I was thinking that I could “paint” the hole before installing a Maggards knot.
I assume that any kind of paint would react with the epoxy that I typically use for the knot.

Is there a kind of paint that would not get messed up with the epoxy?
Although I’ve never used silicone, I suppose that may be a better idea with a painted hole?

Any ideas?

I actually think doing nothing would look better than trying to paint it. That’s not a ton of knot transparency. As long as you don’t go nuts with the adhesive, it shouldn’t spread up and to the sides. I dunno…just my 2 cents.

I found Scott, Colorado Razor Designs on Etsy.
He had a brush with this type of “chunks in clear resin” handle.
It was gorgeous, but it was a bit too tall for my taste.
He made me 3 blanks to choose from, I chose 2.
Then he turned them into stubbier handles.
I think he’s out of chunks now…
I’m going to put a Maggards 2 band in each.

Unusual and clever design.  Looks nice!

if you have the option, put in an aluminum ring before implanting the knot

you can add color pigment to the composition to which you will glue the knot. in this case, the glue itself will work as a paint.

That’s an interesting idea.
I suppose I need to buy some pigment…
