Been looking into soaps I haven't tried yet. Soap Smooth is on my list. Any suggestions for something light, citrus or menthol?

In any event, I love the community here. The artisans are just as involved as regular people. Very cool.

Welcome to DFS.

If you are looking for a soap versus a cream I have been a long time user of Cold River Soap Works (CRSW) and Barrister & Mann shave soaps. Given your preferred description, In CRSW you could check out the Citrus, Limenthol, or Puro Fresco. In the B&M soaps the Latha soaps are reasonably priced and great performers. The oceana and limon scents in the Latha line would be possible choices. If you want to try a cream, my favorite menthol cream is the Eurpoean version of Palmolive Menthol. A menthol cream that many have as part of their den is Proraso menthol. Check the Italian Barber website for the Palmolive cream.

Enjoy the forum.

Excellent suggestions. CSRW has been on my radar for a while. Always seems that it is out of stock for my preferred scents when I'm ready to spend a little money. As for B&M, I have Rhapsody and the Latha Oceana. Good stuff.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

First...Welcome! Glad to have you here! You thnk you've been bit by acquisition disorders now, just wait until you get bit by the straight bug!

As to your soap...Check out Italian Barber Amici. Soap and splash are both fantastic performers. Good grapefruit scent up front with just a touch of spice to break up the sweetness. The splash has a fantastic menthol dry down. You can get the set for about $10 plus shipping and the performance is top level, in my experience and opinion.

Enjoy the forum!

Thanks! I have seen that on their website. Maybe I'll add it to my next order. Good suggestion.
