Hello from San Diego

Hi all!!


I've been lurking here for a while and I finally decided to join you guys.  This site contains a wealth of information that I can benefit from -- I hope that in the future I can participate and help other members out.


I'm fairly new at DE shaving, but my impulsive personality has already led me to try and buy tons of shaving products.  I guess my behavior is normal since guys go in hard when they find a new "hobby".  It all started when I when I searched for aftershaves, and from there I discovered that the DE razors of yesteryear were still around.   I bought aftershaves and soaps and brushes, and then I learned about razors and razor blades and witch hazel and...err...I purchased way to much stuff.  

Right now I am reading about artisan made soaps and aftershaves.   I recently discovered soaps made my PannaCrema and aftershaves made by WSP and Chatillon Lux...and I'm having a blast.  

Well, that's my story in a nutshell.

Freddy, I live close to Kensington (up in the hills around Qualcomm stadium...an area called Talmage). How about yourself?

My goodness, we are in a (very) long walking distance (or 5 minute drive/bus ride) to each other! Is there any chance you know where Twiggs Coffeehouse is at the corner of Adams Avenue and Idaho Street?

I know where it is, but I have never been in there.   However, my girlfriend and I visit the Parkhouse Eatery every once in while.  

We live close to each other indeed.   If you ever run out of razor blades, and you need to perform an emergency shave, just send me a PM.   I'll drive over ('cause who takes the bus in San Diego??) with a Feather or Derby.    


Is Twiggs you hangout?  I usually just go to the Starbucks in Kensington because in the morning I need caffeine ASAP.   But caffeine keeps me awake at night, so I can't hang around in coffee houses in the afternoon (I'm afraid of the possible consequences).
