Hey all, my name is Damian, and I’m currently stationed in japan. I’ve been wet shaving for a few years now but within the last few months I’ve really gotten the bug, and amassed a lot of different soaps blades and razors. Unfortunately it’s near impossible to get aftershaves out here that contain alcohol ?.

Welcome to DFS and enjoy your stay. Smile

Just out of curiosity, are there no Japanese aftershaves available? If there are, it would be interesting to know what they are and your thoughts about them, if you give them a try.

I haven’t found any aftershaves in any of the bigger stories. I was told recently to go to one of the pharmacy’s or drug stories and give it a swirl and see if they have anything there.

Where did you go for shaving products ?

Hwllo Damian. Small world, we are coming to Japan next week for a two-week cruise around the country.  Maybe this is the time to try some of the alcohol-free balms. They are arguably better for the skin. My fave is Trumper Skin Food. Do not be dissuaded by the price. You only use a drop (about the size of a pea), so it lasts for-ev-er. Thank you for your service to America. Anchors Aweigh!

where abouts are you going to be??

I have one of the M&M balms' and though i dont like this specific scent profile, the balm itself is awesome. I do have nivea's a/s balm as well and might purchase the cooling one they have.

Theres just something about an A/S Splash that completes a shave lol

hah no need to thank me for my service, i love what i do and have been lucky enough to travel as much as i want because of it
