thanks for checking us out. I'm glad our simplistic rules helped draw you in - we quite like those rules as well!

Re: injector razors, I recently received the Supply Provisions Co. SE and have used it the last couple of days- nice razor with great quality.

Kevin did you get the classic or the custom. If you got the custom have you used more than one plate yet. Thank you.

I have been shaving with a DE razor for almost 2 1/2 years. I used an electric razor along with carts for all my prior 30 years of shaving. I honestly started this with the intent of buying 1 razor, 1 soap, 1 brush with the intent of saving money. Well that has not gone as planned although I haven't gone completely crazy.

I have only bought new razors as I have feared purchasing vintage razors. I don't feel confident enough to know what I would be getting or what to look for or if it was a good deal or not.  I have become very interested in SE razors but until recently this has been mostly a vintage game.  I really want to try the injector and Gem razors so I really looking forward to help from all of your experiences here.

I suppose I should save some info for future posts.  Thank you and I look forward to participating.

Welcome Wolverine ! Glad you've joined us. A great group of folks here.

Wolverine , I did get the custom but kicked off with the standard/medium plate. I will switch it out for the aggressive either tomorrow or Saturday and report back. The medium is efficient when you get the angle dialed in but look forward to trying out the aggressive for comparison.

Welcome to DFS, Wolverine; we are glad to have you with us. Smile

Don't be afraid to try some of the vintage razors out there, DE, SE, or Injector.  Many can be had at reasonable prices and are as good as, or better than, today's offerings.  I am, in no way, putting down new razors, by the way.  See if you cannot find a GEM Featherweight in good condition and at a reasonable price.  Load it with a GEM PTFE SE blade and give it a try.  It gives me some of my finest shaves and the learning curve for getting the proper angle is minimal.  There are many other wonderful choices, as well.  Let us know what you discover.
