Evening everyone! Looking for some opinions on these two fine razors. I've been using the H&S NO75 for a few weeks now and it doesn't seem to be efficient enough. I get irritation attempting to get a close shave. I'm used to a 2 pass near BBS shave with my blackbird. The problem with that, is I'm unable to shave consecutive days without irritation. I was hoping the H&S would be the ticket to daily smooth shaves. I've tried a ton of different blades with today being a feather. It was a comfortable shave, but I started to get irritation on my third pass. I get stubble growing back pretty quickly, and it's important for me to stay clean looking for atleast 12 hours at work. Is the CG lvl 2 SB a good medium between the H&S NO75 and the Blackbird? I was browsing their website the other day and it caught my eye. All the reviews I can find are positive, and it seems to get much praise. This H&S razor is absolutely beautiful and very well made, but I'm starting to feel it just may not work for my skin and beard type.

Have a charcoal goods but haven’t tried the H&S no 75. I’d say the lvl 2 is a very smooth razor. I can almost whip it around my face without paying much attention and the angle of attack is very intuitive for me. You didn’t mention it but if you get the chance you should try the RR Lupo SS. It’s a bit weird being DLC coated but to me it feels milder than the CG lvl2 but somehow still being as efficient. I have tried tons of razors with feather blades including raw shavings RS-10. For some reason, my face just doesn’t get along with feathers. The shave feels super smooth but then bam! Irritation. My current favorite blade is the persona med prep. Give it a try if you haven’t yet.

You could always try using a shim in the H&S razor to increase its efficiency, a bit.

Thanks for the input! I'll look into the lupo. Just love the looks of the CG razors. Like a work of art. Same with the persona blades.

I'll give that a try! Might be just what it needs.

I owned the CG lvl 2 - excellent razor. Good balance between mild / aggressive and daily shaver.

There are numerous nice razors out today. However, If you like the CG razor, get out your credit card and order.

Exactly what I wanted to hear lol. Just didn't want to purchase another expensive razor that is too mild. I've been teetering in the edge of buying it for a few days now with it in my cart.

My experience with the N075 was similar to yours, not efficient enough. I didn't have that problem with the CG L2. Another razor you might want to consider is the Nodachi. I find that one to be smoother and more efficient than the gen 1 CG L2.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I don't want to talk bad about it, because it is a beautiful razor. My lvl 2 arrived today, so I'm going to give it a go. If it doesn't work out, I'll look into the Nodachi.

Those disinterested in H&S N075 mildness should consider the H&S P076. The P076 is an incredibly efficient yet mild new generation of razor magically combining the 2 traits. Further, it possesses as close to Wolfman levels of fit and finish as anything in the industry. The beauty of its 17-4 polished SS and intricacy of its design is a joy.
