I reached out to Mohammed and he said the liquid consistency was not correct and the other was but he wasn’t sure why the difference. My first notion would be that something happened to the soap in transit, and that’s what affected its consistency. However, if two soaps arrived via the same method of transit, and only one was affected, then my theory may not hold a lot of water… (Pun partially intended.)
Several years ago, in the middle of the summer, I received a soap that was completely liquefied by the time it reached me. Its scent never really matched what I had read about it, but once the soap became firm in cooler temperatures, it was a solid performer. (Again, pun partially intended.)
Airing a soap out for a number of days is always worth a try with one that is not quite what it perhaps should be, whether it’s the consistency or the scent.
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”
