Swirling the brush directly in the jar would mean you'd use up all the Coattails product in about a week. Big Grin

GroomingDept Do you agree? Would you call Coattails a cream rather than a soap or croap?

It's not a cream. A soap goes through a different process to become a cream. It's a very soft soap.

Is it soft yes, is it a cream like GT, Castle Forbes or XPEC, maybe yours is but not mine. My coattails is indeed soft but more like the soaps I get from Blackship grooming and today I used ADP which is a hard cream or at least my jar is a hard cream. Lesson has been learned and in the future I will do a little dab like I do for MdC with 3/4 swirls

My tub of coattails could almost be described as a liquid. If I tilt the jar to one side so it sits at an angle, the contents will flow slowly with gravity to the other side.
The community uses terms like "soap", "cream", or "Croap" based on product consistency (not how it was made). So I guess the technically appropriate terminology in this case would be "cream soap" or "liquid-ish soap". I have shaving "creams" which are stiffer than this "soap".
Bottom line: Coattails is an amazing performer regardless of what we call it. Smile

That' interesting. My tub of Coattails sits in a drawer on it's side and is shows no sign of moving/settling in the bottom due to gravity... Are you in a hot climate or keep your home warm?

LOL, hardly. The weather here in the UK would never be described as "hot". To be honest, when I received the package, the tub was on its side and the soap had slid to one side of the tub and stuck to the inside of the lid.
I'll leave the tub open for a few days to see if it firms up at all.

That is odd. Mine is a harder consistency where I can swirl the brush in it.
Mohammad, do you have any idea why his is almost a cream?

I have two tubs Erik, one of mine came as you describe almost liquid. The other is almost like CRSW glide a really soft croap. I reached out to Mohammed and he said the liquid consistency was not correct and the other was but he wasn’t sure why the difference.

Thank you Mr_Smartepants I'm delighted you like the soap.

I'm puzzled as to why some jars seem to be liquified! I'll make sure the Almond release is a great deal harder. In the meantime, if you got one and you're not satisfied with your purchase please get in touch. I'm happy to issue you a refund.

Thanks Mo, but I never said I wasn't satisfied. Smile
I just used it again for this afternoon's shave and I'm thoroughly impressed with the performance. This tub is staying firmly in my den!
I'm looking forward to the Almond release. I have an original Figaro P160 block mixed with ABC soap, so you've got some stiff competition mate. Wink

The almond scent development took an interesting turn Smile

The ubiquitous ingredient to use when one is after the Almond note is to use an ingredient called Benzaldehyde I contacted my fragrance ingredients suppliers requesting to buy some. I was told that sales of Benzaldehyde are now super restricted by the DEA! I'm now researching alternatives.
