Same here. I already have close 200 soaps/creams in my den so don't need anymore, but I was told Mohammad was from the Bay Area and that the intensive process he used to come up with his soaps, so being from San Jose myself, I had to add a couple in my den to support a local artisan. Initial reviews are quite positive and lather shots look awesome. I don't believe I will be disappointed.

Thank you sir for the compliments! I hope your experience with the soaps will be a positive one. Happy to hear from another Bay Area resident, I live in Millbrae. Hopefully one day we can have a Bay Area shaving expo/conference event Smile

ram57 CCity : Guy, Scott, I felt the same way. I've got way too many soaps.

But this soap is extraordinary, almost in its own category.

My all-time favorites are non-tallow Italian soaps. You know the drill, SMN, XPEC, Nuavia, Saponificio Varesino. Love them.

When I go for a tallow, it's the L&L, which I've recently-and happily-discovered, B&M, CRSW, etc., etc.

The GroomingDept soaps perform like the best of the non-tallows I have with the 'face feel' of a luxurious tallow. Extraordinary.

And the post-shave is simply great.

Thank you so much Michael! I'm a huge fan of tallow soaps, and when I embarked on making a soap, I had to learn a great deal about Chemistry - a topic I superficially only knew from high school. I wanted to make a soap that's not tallow but with tallow characteristics. I had to learn about Triglycerides, and dug deep into the various oils an butters compositions. It's been a wonderful experience of learning and a fruitful one, still learning too!

I believe what I learnt about oils and butters and other ingredients has made my tallow+duck soap a unique one. This knowledge has empowered me to work on other unique products: Face Wash, After shave Balm, After Shave alcohol-free Lotion and a Leave-In hair conditioner.

Sounds like we are on the same page Michael though I have to add Black Ship Grooming into the non tallow so looks like these soaps will be right you my alley. Just received message that the Lavender and Patchouli have been delivered at the house. Will use these two over the weekend!

I live in Boise ID now but the Bay Area will always be home. Have to support the local guy as well as the sports teams! Looking forward to see what new offerings you will have and crossing my fingers they will debut before I head into the hospital for a week and out of the loop for a bit. I'm not a fan of Ylang Ylang but have say intrigued with the EO listing in the Patchouli and cant wait to try it out on Saturday and Lavender on Sunday.

Well, bravo-if you set out to make a non-tallow soap with tallow characteristics, you have succeeded brilliantly.

Looking forward to the balm and AS, Mohhamad!

And especially the Duck tallow soap. Thank heavens you didn't put orange in the fragrance. Your soaps produce a lather so good, it's tempting to eat it, and with the combination of Duck and Orange, it might have been irresistible Smile

All the praise and specially non tallow soaps which is a big plus for me, have to try out something. I like the rose, do you plan to make a rose based soap in future?
