Today I used Voyager for the first time. And this is my 2nd shave with Grooming Dept soap.
I think my nose must not be very sophisticated. The smell was pleasant. Not real strong. But even after whipping it up it still smelled nicely. I would say about a 5 or 6 out of 10 ffor the strength of smell.
Another fantastic shave. The slickness of the soap is just amazing. I focused on adding more water this time. It created a huge amount of lather. And that was after only 4 seconds of loading. I need to load less on the brush. I'm also not blooming the soap at all. Just squeezing out the water from the brush and loading.
Even my wife commented on how soft my face feels today. And I skipped the witch hazel yesterday and today too.
Slickness I give a 10 out of 10.
After the shave feel is 10 out of 10.
I'm not sure how this could get any better.
One thing I would love is a strong smelling lemon with menthol.
Tomorrow is time to try Patchouli.

TheKey great description of these soaps. I've got to try your 'quick load' technique next time.
I was an early adopter of these, and was just blown away by their performance, but part of me thought I was just excited to have a new brand of soap to use. So, it's great to hear others appreciating them as well!
The more I use them, the more I appreciate them and like them. Like you, I find the post shave feel remarkable, and always squeeze the excess out of the brush and leave the lather on my face while I'm cleaning up the gear.

So glad you're enjoying the soaps. I certainly agree, never bloom a Grooming Dept soap! I think you'll get an increased sent projection if you load a bit longer

Hopefully this post won't be confusing
I still have not made up mind on what the label for Ambrosia will be. Ambrosia scent notes: Cherry Pipe Tobacco, Jasmine, Rose, Sandalwood, Tonka Bean and Pink Pepper. Ambrosia is tallow+duck.
But this label is for the vegan base tobacco, a simpler skeletal scent made of Cherry Pipe Tobacco.
Both will be release on 9/25

Haha, the tobacco ingredients are all nicotine free!
Anyways it isn't nicotine in cigarettes that causes lung cancer anyways.
GroomingDept maybe you can just create a subscription service for all the new Tallow + Duck Fat soaps? I want them all!
