But I tried Ingress and felt it lacked the same quality i was used to. Yes the soap was great and great lather. But the scent was very weak. This was just my opinion. 1 unsatisfied soap out of many many is a good percent. I will continue to order GD soaps but might think you get what you spend 15 bucks for fortis vs 24 bucks for others.
Hi @"tmd1021905@msn.com"
Thank you for the kind words, I'm delighted you enjoy most of Grooming Dept soaps.
I recognize that some people like some ingredient combinations more than others; that's partially why I make several formulas. I decided to release Fortis because I recognized some people don't care for the complex rich scents or the exquisite post shave Grooming Dept soaps afford, and some people don't want to spend $24 on a 5oz jar soap. For some, the criteria is give me a lot of soap that is slick and doesn't dry my face. I feel Fortis fulfills the brief without sacrificing the qualities of Grooming Dept soap.
I don't like the word "budget" product. It implies something is being sacrificed and there is a compromise somewhere. I prefer to compare Fortis and other formulas to the models BMW makes (my favorite car brand). There is 1/2 series and then there is everything else. Those lower number models are not cheap cars, but they give a glimpse to what the upper tier BMW cars are all about.
