Yep...I have no proof...but...to my face....every single new release seems to be in an improved base..And...I agree...the cumulative effect of using the GD Shaving System of products on my skin is incredible and very apparent even after just a few days of use...

I have said it before and will say it again, the Grooming Dept donkey base is the finest soap base I've used. It's probably preaching to the choir here, but so be it.

Honestly, I’m torn between that base and the “soupy” Lusso as my favorite...Both are outstanding!

Man is this soap ever good. I’m not a huge citrus guy - but this soap might convert me...

The donkey base has really grown on me. My first experience with it was mandarin bay, which I had a mild reaction to. I would rush through the shave with it and not really take the time to soak in the qualities of the base. But man - after using laundry and this NYChypre, I am right there with you. The NYChypre is a fantastic scent that reminds me heavily of the famous MDCI chypre palatine. Just wonderful in every metric.

This one today was absolutely amazing!!
He keeps tweaking his bases and just when I think they have reached the best they can possibly get, they get better![Image: b023b4421e0ba92c30afa08c1a1da932.jpg]
That’s Dapper Mallard.

I used Mallard ‘Lavender’ this morning, and I love the Scent. It opens up beautifully once lathered, and the performance is definitely better than the last Mallard GD Soaps I had used, which were already very good. I used Mohammad’s complete system again, and threw in Chatillon Lux’s ‘Pure Lavender’ Splash since I love the Scent. Afterward I applied the Rejuvenating Serum, and my face has felt fantastic all morning. Next up is ‘Valencia’, can’t wait!
