Best of luck Mohammad.  Who could blame you for leaving all this pleasantry behind?

FWIW I hope you will push announcements via email routinely.  It’s a selfish request. I don’t do Instagram, and I’m not sure how bulletproof Facebook is.

But be all that as it may, best of luck. Happy2 Happy2 Happy Happy

I get it! It had to be very time consuming to post in several different places. GD newsletter should be sufficient to get the word out to those who want to know. Thanks for you continues efforts!

I did read his post but Mo’s Instagram and Facebook posts in the past have been minimalistic and mostly artsy photos. I subscribed to the “newsletter/mailing list”on his webpage months ago and have yet to receive a single newsletter. I asked because I really would like to be informed about future product releases.

Why not stick with a closed thread announcing releases?

I know from all your posts that you wish Mohammad well A. Feitar.  As another grateful customer, I appreciate your legitimate criticism of the "newsletter/mailing list".  I too have yet to see one.  It will benefit everyone - and no one more than Mohammad - to put all new release, restock, and schedule change announcements in one uncluttered and widely accessible place AND to make it plain as day what that place is.  Instagram and facebook are far from the best tools IMO, and neither is DFS.

There are reasons why mailing lists are industry standard, or at least widely used, and I think the GDept mailing list should be the gold standard announcement vehicle.  It is completely vendor controlled, and therefore uncluttered with troll generated crap.  Sincere questions can be addressed to the vendor, and answered privately or en masse at the vendor's discretion.  Also, not everyone is on DFS, Instagram, or even facebook, but everyone interested in GDept product announcements likely knows the website, can see the invitation to join the mailing list, and therefore can sign up.  Finally, the fact that there is already a mailing list on the GDept website and that is does not work is an out of character way to represent such a fine artisan.

Mohammad, I hope you or one of your close confidants is listening and will take these criticisms to heart.  --  Be well!

I have a question for those of you that have Grooming Dept soaps. Do any if you lather the soap directly from the container or do you take out a small scoop and lather in a bowl?

I do both, scooping to me is less messy, and you don't have to let the soap dry.

Personally, I lather right from the tub. Most easy for me. Then I leave the cap off for a few hours or longer. I find that drying the soap out is a rather uncomplicated process...All you have to do is nothing. Just leave the cap off for a few hours after you use it. In fact, Mohammad says that his soap can be stored with no cap with no damage or impact to the soap or scent.

For all soaps/creams, I scoop out from the container, smear it in the bottom of my lathering bowl, and begin the lather building process. I find this gives me more control over all variables. 1. I know exactly how much soap I am using. 2. I can add water slowly until I get it like I want it. 3. It allowed me to buy another shaving item. 4. I never run short to finish my shave.
