Ok, Donkey Base has replaced Mallard Base as my number 1. Crazy thing is my least favorite GD base and soap is still miles above any other manufacturer’s soaps. I’m not hating on other soaps, I just don’t feel there are any others that I absolutely have to use anymore (in my humble opinion). I still keep 2 other manufacturers soaps (CRSW Glide and Saponificio Varesino) for sentimental reasons and to have some variety to test my Thater Boar brushes and various 2 band brushes but I would be fine just having GD soaps in my soap drawer and soap shelf.

I'll have to try and get my hands on some of the 'DDT' formula.
What's the best way to get a heads up on a release? They always seem to be sold out whenever I check the site.

Thank you Pottertons for your support and business! I try to remember to post on the release announcement thread and via the Grooming Dept mailing list (link in the footer at groomingdept.com)

Thanks!

My thoughts exactly! It is difficult to reach for another brand with GD options to choose from. I do have a few which I LOVE the scent of and performance is very good, Barrister & Mann, Wholly Kaw, Declaration Grooming (better with the GD Preshave mind you) . I will begin to thin the collection to make more room for the upcoming GD purchases!

Yep, I just moved all of my Wholly Kaw soaps out to the guest bathroom closet unbeknownst to my Wife who is already pissed at the amount of soaps that I have. I really need to have a fire sale one day.

Hey Mo,
How can we convince you to make a soap with main notes of jasemine in it? Growing up my dad had ( and still does) have jasemine plants all around and the smell is amazing. I think it would be very popular and in the donkey milk/mallard lamb tallow formula

GM Mo,

Loving Mandarin Bay and Chypre Vert DFS 2018 for both the scents and bases. So impressed with the DDL and Lusso formulas. Still there is a need for unscented and I thought that Pekin and Asinus were scheduled to be restocked soon according to your response a few weeks ago. Feel sort of sorry for my other soaps especially WK as they have moved to the 2nd tier draw. Then again, if there is some sort of soap apocalypse at least l will have options to either shave or trade for essentials.

Thanks again for being the mad scientist....
