I know that mutton tallow has slightly different properties than other tallow types from my old blackpowder shooting days. It had a longer shelf life before going rancid and worked better as a bullet/patch lube than say beef tallow. The smell is stout however. It is also harder to find as obviously far more cattle are eaten in the USA than sheep. As a note, I tried a Stirling sample of their mutton tallow soap and it was magnificent.

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

This has been my experience, as well. Hopefully will have a chance to try one of Grooming Dept’s, soon.

Yes sorry, delayed. I have to keep delaying releases date until I can actually ship. I don't want to create another situation like the past release.

Ok no problem. The other soap bases have been well worth the wait, and Im sure the lamb tallow is no acception.

Oh man another delay on the release of Angel for another week. I sure hope I can get to a computer the day of the release since I don't feel comfortable using paypal over the phone. Have gone thru more trouble to get this particular soap than any other.

It’s just shaving soap. Yes, one of the finest made today.
No worries on the delay for me especially after reading recent posts on the subject of delays.
Not blood pressure prescriptions expected or an acceptance/rejection letter from Harvard.

The only explanation I can come up with is people are used to an Amazon Prime world and we’ve lost any sense of patience.
This is a one man operation. I just appreciate the fact that he’s actually making such a great soap.

Complaining about a shaving soap or release is not the sign of losing our minds. (I for one never complain as I never purchase limited release products anyway).

If you have to go so far as to suggest people are losing their mind, people becoming too used to Amazon, people losing sense of patience because someone said 'Have gone thru more trouble', it is you who is losing his mind.

Hold your horses before passing judgement.

EDIT: this is a SHAVING FORUM. on our best day, what we discuss here might seem crazy to regular people. So some craziness when it comes to product delivery/scheduling shouldn't come as abnormal.

Stop putting out dates that you can't meet. I believe that he is shooting himself in the foot for no good reason.

Who really even needs to know what date a soap will be available so far in advance? The only reason I can see for doing this is to try to generate excitement/anticipation. And then if you don't deliver, it will disappoint those that did get excited.

Just wait until the release is imminent and then share the date a few days before. A business should try to manage their customer's expectations to avoid disappointment.

I totally get what you are saying, Rob, and I mostly agree. But I also understand why Mohammad is doing so:

People keep asking about the release, even though that seems to me like useless info (unless someone is determined about not missing a limited release, or someone living abroad - who has to buy through someone else, or someone who is maintaining a strict budget). So he (Mohammad) is trying to please everyone.

But I agree, "Who really even needs to know what date a soap will be available"
