2019 DFS LE - Eleven Soap & Aftershave Splash is now LIVE! Read more here!!

I've been wet shaving (though we didn't call it that) off and on for 40 years. In my senior year of high school (in Kansas) I saw a mug and soap set put out by Old Spice. I just thought it was "groovy", I bought an Everready (I think) brush and gave it a shot. I loved it. I took it to collage and caught some flack for it (not much), but soon a few other sets were showing up in the dorm. I use it all, double edge razors, single edge razors, shavettes, and straight razors. The only think I haven't tried are those weird Japanese razors. I have to keep myself limited on soaps, creams, and aftershaves. I suppose I have about 30 double edge razors, 10 or so single edge razors, 8 shavettes, and 15+ straight razors. I am soon going to be selling some of my razors to get down to my favorites. I also have about 10 brushes. I tend toward the more vintage creams, soaps, and aftershaves. I just don't have the time or $$$ to try all the artisan soaps out there today. I do have a website at www.evergladeshaving.com and hope add more content soon. I like to get a barber shave now and then and will be doing some reviews of barbershop shaves soon. Looking forward to the discussions.

I'm as about as deep in the Everglades as you can live. Halfway between Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers, 18 mile north of Alligator Alley.
