Hey everyone,

My name is Eric, and it looks like I actually joined DFS around the time my traditional wet shaving journey started about 5 years ago, but since my post count is still in low single digits I figured I'd pop in here and introduce myself. Hmmm, lets see...

-I have been through pretty much every acquisition disorder related to shaving over the last 5+ years.
-I enjoy collecting and doing moderate restoration work on vintage straight razors, and have a decent little collection going.
-I have been known to turn the occasional brush handle on the lathe, though my workshop is currently in storage while I look for a house with a large enough area to set it up in.

A friend on another forum told me that Dave in KY hangs around here, and since he has excellent taste in friends and forums I thought I'd check it out. I'm looking forward to meeting new people and enjoying this journey together.

Eric, GREAT to see you buddy. Welcome back ! Guys, he's being modest about his abilities with a lathe. I have 5 brushes he's turned and Sorrentino's will be known by all some day  Big Grin

Welcome from another Eric, who was originally from Michigan before moving to Maine 21 years ago (man, that long?!) I remember enjoying your posts on another forum and am glad you are back here! I also started around 5-6 years ago, on here and B&B. But unlike you, this Eric has no wood skills and is scared of straights!

Welcome to DFS, Eric.  We look forward to your input (and, perhaps, some photos of those straight razors and lathe skills Big Grin).  Enjoy your stay.

This is some of my earlier work from a few years ago. A friend(who is much better with a camera than I am) asked me to make some new scales for his Klas Tornblom and a matching brush handle. They are made of Purple Heart, Padauk, and Maple.
