Wow! That has got to be the crustiest razor I've ever seen. Great job on the cleanup!

That is awesome! I would love to have gramps razor but alas, I had to settle for someone else's grandpas razor picked up at various yard sales and antique shops. You are a lucky guy.

Congrats on the heirloom. They are great. I have 2...both are Black Beauties. The long handle was grandpa's and I had it replated in rhodium.

If you don't want to replate it, just keep it dry when not in use.

Nice score.

Thanks steeleshaves I really wish I could say Grandma is doing better but things took a turn for the worse yesterday.

Wow, you are really fortunate to get that. Also, best wishes with your grandmother.

I have my fathers shaving brush, but nothing else. I really like those little Flair Tips. You can get it coated/re-finished if needed.

Great story with a happy ending. I have a first year "Flare Tip" that an uncle gave me and they are a great razor for sure.

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
