Man, I wish I could find a score like a toggle! It's been awhile since I've been able to go out, but the most luck I've had was finding a black handled gillette beauty. Not bad by any means, but not a toggle! I've been bitten by the bug for razors again, and in particular trying to find some Gillette razors I like to use.

Thanks all for the kind words. I did ask about the occupants of the house, but the sales people did not know anything. The only thing they care about was emptying the house to get ready to flip. If I did not find the razors, I am sure they would have ended up in the landfill.

Today's flea market finds. A 40's TV Special in undamaged case and a 1917 service set. The super speed date is code Z-3 and works great. The old is a serial number D25XXX, missing the trench mirror but has no cracks on the handle and no bent teeth.  A fair trade off. Look great for being 100 years old. Also a page of Gillette advertising for ABC Pocket edition basket weave case.  Bought the two razors and thru in the paper.

This was in today's mailcall. A picker friend of mine found it this weekend at an estate sale. Sent me a picture, asked if I wanted it, and replied how quick can I get it. It does not have the blade banks, but does have the trench mirror, brush and no cracks in the handle. The surprise was open it up and finding two serial numbers, M147737 and L189164.
I believe that means it has been repaired or had warranty work done. In good shape, no plate loss and a great patina to the silver.

The flea markets are usually slow this time of year, so this wild find is especially sweet. A Gillette Goodwill in Bakelite presentation case. No crackes in case or handle. Overall in outstanding condition.

It was a very good at the flea market yesterday. I have not had a haul this good in a while. Got six Gillette's but these three were the stars of the show. A 1918 Bulldog, 1922 Bostonian and F-4 Toggle. The conditions of all three are above user grade with the Bostonian wearing a heavy layer of patina tarnish, almost black, nice. They don't come around every day but they are still out there.
