Gillette Platinum White

I'm a fan of Polsilver Super Iridium blades.  I may have found a successor to these blades in the Gillette Platinum Whites.  These blades balance the sharp and smooth ratio perfectly for me, even slightly better than the Polsilver SIs at a fraction of the cost.

I love the Gillette whites! Probably my favorite blade now.
Hopefully these are the ones you are referring to. 

All these Gillette Platinums, blue & silver, white & the newest blue, are IMHO the exact same blade based upon two things:

A.  I have shaved with all three 

B.  they have the same UPC code

These are the Gillette Platinum blues. I am such a big fan of the whites that I bought 100 of the blues because I hoped that they were an improved version. I found them to be much worse than the whites that I love. Maybe the two I've used so far were duds but they were awful. I bought them from a very reputable vendor too.

The ones I posted are supposed to be the same as the Gillette Swedes. They used to come in white boxes but now are in blue.

I've used both SxS and could tell zero difference. To test objectively you need to do so with the same prep, soap, razor, etc., and preferably during the same shave.

Gillette never made Platinums in Sweden. It's a misnomer due to pckg. labeling. I have used a "Swede" SxS as well and again IMO it is the same blade as the current Platinum, despite what sellers may state while asking exorbitant prices.

I bought some of the new "Swede" platinums. Really don't see a difference between those and the regular ones.

How do these compare to Gilette Silver Blues?

People, any and all blade comparisons are totally subjective and not unlike one's tastes in women, automobiles, etc. In all my years of shaving I have never had a "dud" or "duff" blade from Gillette. Their QC is NASA spec. Almost always it is user error in that the user is a neophyte and has not properly prepped, does not have good technique and/or is using a razor far too "aggressive" for their respective needs. We have all done this when starting out and most progress to correct these errors. Some never do. Don't be that guy.
