Anybody seen one of these before or have any info on it?[Image: 20150610_150824.jpg]

It's made in Scotland of Roanoid (a relative of bakelite) and Waite's dates it at c.1936 but doesn't have much else to say about it.[Image: IMG_20150610_150457.jpg]
The set has two razor heads and two handles one of which is six inches long, giving the whole thing a weird dreamlike feel (at least to me!)
There's a similar set on ilrasoio with literature explaining that the super long handle works like an artist's brush, improving manouverability and reducing shaving time by 40% - bizarre and the grandest grande handle I've ever seen.[Image: 20150610_151621.jpg]

And the blurb inside the G.B.S. blade wrapper suggests that they've gone the Wardonia route with the geometry too - big blade gap and intelligent guard.[Image: IMG_20150610_15053_edit_1433947374933.jpg]

Like a lot of the interwar bakelites, the G.B.S. is a very efficient and very very smooth shaver - lots of blade feel, good with steep angle but not at all bitey.
And it leaves my face feeling weirdly conditioned and moisturised. This is an astonishingly comfortable shave.
Maybe it's the Roanoid...[Image: 20150725_071856.jpg]

I've had this set for a couple of months, but a few more have surfaced since...
...It's lush...

Ah, I'd assumed it was the same one. I was almost tempted back to DE given it's similarity with the Wardonia ... then I came to me senses and the moment passed.

Indeed, some of these bakelites are so gorgeous and this is one of the very best.
