I've been using the cream some and have used the soap. I think the cream has a stronger scent. Both are about the slickest soap that exists, too slippery. Stuff will fall out of your hand. I'll call them a draw. Its too hard to differentiate on technical things alone.

However, cost is the killer. On a per shave basis, I conclude the cream cost twice as much as the soap, which might be the reason (I don't know this for a fact) that the soap is no longer available in the US while the cream is easy to find.

In terms of it being "elite", its on par with ADP (just expensive). This is a case of you get what you pay for.

I'm with you on the cream being more expensive. No doubt that even without shipping, the hard soap at the normal price of $35 for 125ml/4 oz it's one of the most expensive products out there.
