Did not see anything on Chiseled Face taking it over. Only that he's trying to find time. To balance everything and not sure what he's gonna do. May have overlooked it.

Yeah, I may have overstated that little tidbit. I think he (Ron) was offering to help Jon of F&C out for a minute while he decided how he was going to move forward with the company, not take it over really. Bad choice of words on my part. My apologies...

Thanks for the link, wyze0ne. Informative read. I was sorry to read that the artisan has money tied to raw material, but apparently no time to manufacture. Hopefully he can make another comeback at some point.

I just saw this.

I had offered to take over production of F&C (both recently when the reddit post was made, as well as about a year ago), but we were not able to come to an agreement that was suitable to both of us. I just checked this morning, and the website is now redirected to a podcast about dropshipping watches, so not sure what is going on...

Sorry to hear this. (I’m not aware of the recent Reddit post.) Looks like the comeback was short-lived. Makes you wonder if there will be another one down the line…

Already happening. Most of these guys already stated that fragrances are the way they are going. I'm not a soapmaker but these guys need to keep up with many releases to keep their position with the buying opportunities. If they get stale wet shavers will go with the new scent kinda deal.

Even the BST's are awash with product. Everything seems saturated.

Well SOB I've been using my shambala a lot since I read he was back in business. Dang.

My single bottle arrived, too:

It’d be interesting to talk to the head of Folsom and Company’s Risk Management department… This time, the risk was worth it, and the bottle was intact.

By the way, Shambala is really great. Does anyone know if it is based on a designer fragrance, or if it’s similar to one? (I guess I’m asking mainly out of curiosity – I can still smell the couple of drops I used on my skin about eight hours ago…)

I was wondering the same thing.
