Thats a beautiful brush Snuff , which quality of badger did you go with? It looks like the 2-band but is it silvertip or silvertip D01?

The price on this one isn't terrible it anyone else is considering trying this shape of brush.

I wonder if the FS one is the same one TGN is selling without a handle?

I think suspect that the chinese knots from LS, FS, and TGN might be the same.

What I'm really curious about is how one one these flat tops feels on the face compared to a bulb shaped brush.

I hope to find out.  Got the TGN 24mm flat top and a Whipped Dog handle and a friend is going to put them together for me.  Going this route, I get to choose the handle.  It may be a while before I get it but, hey, I'm not short of brushes... or blades... or soaps... or razors... Rolleyes

I wish I could tell you how this feels but I won't be using it until next month. I'll report back.

2-band silvertip D01

How does it feel on your face? I have a 2 band silver tip D01 in the bulb configuration and find it to be very firm. So firm that I would not get that knot again.

And frankly, at $40 for the Stirling butterscotch(or black if you like that), in my humble opinion, you can't possibly go wrong...

My buddy Figaro just bought this brush in butterscotch and really raves about it. The price is very attractive.

What is the preferred way to use a flat top? The splay looks like it'd be huge...or are just paint strokes optimal?
