Can someone please tell me if the new Fine soaps actually perform similar to Tabac? I finally bought Tabac after holding off for so long in fear of the scent. It turns out the scent isn't that bad, I kind of like it, but the performance of the soap is absolutely top notch. If Fine has the same performance I'd like to try their scents.

Just a notch below Tabac, IMO.

Thanks. But still an excellent soap?

It is not exactly Tabac, but close enough to be a darn good soap. If I did not already have so many soaps I would by the rest that have come out (I have the AB version).

For the price it's very good (minus the super sales of tabac lately).

Fines version is just a smudge less dense for the load, but the resolution is a heavier load and a bit more water.

Honestly, when I saw some reviews of these products and that they weren't Tabac quality, I ended up not bothering. Don't get me wrong, I dearly love the Fine aftershaves and would have loved to purchase the soaps, but the way they were being touted by Fine as Tabacesque had the hype level skyrocketed. Once I saw some fluffy lathers and thin lathers coming out of the Fine soaps, I decided to pass.

No. Fine American Blend smells great but the technical attributes of Tabac are superior.

I've never tried Fine's SS but you never know after hearing reviews from the consumers, Fine might tweak it's formula!
