I love my Feather(s). I have the AS-D1 and AS-D2 and am trying to figure out which to keep. They are pretty similar and it seems dumb to keep both, though I like them both a lot.
I can’t get a long-lasting BBS shave, but I can get an easy one-pass DFS shave. There are other razors that get a close BBS shave, but those can be tough on the skin. I like to alternate the Feather razor into my schedule to give my skin a break. Works well that way. I can’t understand the broad dismissal of this razor. If you want One Razor to Rule Them All, this might not be it. But then most of us have multiple razors, so I don’t see why this can’t be in one’s Arsenal.
I would also add that it is a joy to handle. The quality and feel and manoeuvrability in the hand is amazing. Much better than my Rockwell 6c, which feels kind of clumsy, or my RazoRock Mamba .70, which is kind of nondescript.
