Not a big soap scent guy and following DEDestroyer's lead that soap scent is undesirable having rid over hundred such soaps this year. However, recently picked up a Chypre Vert from GD because base in unscented wasn't available. This, without doubt, is the greenist, freshest soap scent ever encountered. Mo should do an entire line from bath soap to shampoo to frag - blows Pens Eng Fern out of water as with Guerlain Vetiver, damn near Cred GIT.
A few recent favorites:
Storybook Soapworks Shaken- this just may be my all time favorite soap scent ever, and have probibaly sniffed over 500 different soaps. Just awesome!
CBL Black Rose Oud- recent artisan release with a dark rose complex scent.
QCS Rose Otto- this one is discontinued but managed to get a set from a trade. Strong complex rose scent that is intoxicating.
CB Ruds Suds- also got this from a trade. Coffee & vetiver scent. Smell from tub was light but once lathered it opened up. The A/S seems a bit more complex and has good longevity.

I sampled 67 new soaps in 2018. Here are a few that I thought smelled pretty good. They're listed in the order of acquisition.
- Olfactory Hue (Cold River Soap Works) oud & sandalwood. Reminds me of good Japanese incense.
- Morning Ghost (Cold River Soap Works) vetiver, amyris, ho wood. This scent goes with anything.
- Fougère Bouquet (Wholly Kaw) dark, rich fern. By far my favorite scent from this soap cooker.
- The Trail (Noble Otter) conifers, rain, smoke. Smells like a walk through the Hoh Rainforest.
- Cape Verde (Mickey Lee) citrus fougère. This one has been around for a while but it's new to me and it smells marvelous.
- Ninfeo di Egeria (Wickham) citrus, fig, amber. The pleasure gardens of ancient Rome.
- Dirtyver (Declaration Grooming) bergamot, vetiver, petrichor. Not quite as remarkable as Salter's French Vetiver, but a nice balance of earthy and clean notes.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”
