had a shave with my ikon 102 that was paired with a maggard's handle this morning. a little rougher than I was hoping but I'm sure I can get it worked out after a few tries. I'm also using a blade that I haven't used in ages - a personna blue med prep. maybe I ought to switch back to my astra SP blades until I'm more familiar with the razor angles!

I have many slant razors (too many). I have a nickel allergy, so I tend to use old bakelite slants. My favorite is an old German lighted slant. Works great and is not too aggressive (but gives me a much closer/aggressive shave than the couple of Razorock slants that I've owned and sold). It has a thicker handle and great balance. The other favorite is a trumpf open comb bakelite. It just gives me a great shave.

I've never tried an ATT, (especially an S2) but I would like to.

The Merkur 37C. It has he perfect blade gap for a slant IMO

My favorite is the original SS Ikon. I still own it and use it regularly paired with a magnificent UFO handle. Second place, ATT S1.

For me, it's the ATT S1.
