My current favorite is Crown Shaving Co. Supreme Glide Pre Shave Formula. I have tried many, but this one really gives me great protection.

Currently SMN pre. $, but works fantastic for me. I have heard that it's similar to Noxzema, but I have not tried (scent description has scared me off).

Proraso green & Myrsol Emulsion also work well and have been previous favorites.

I used Razo Rock Pre Barba last night and it was amazing. Super slick, but not overly oily. Can't wait to use it again!

Love the performance of Noxzema. A little between passes and wow.
Only downside is the medicinal smell. If only it came in a different scent.

I normally use Proraso pre-shave (white), which so far has worked quite well for me and remains a favorite. Recently however, while on a trip, I had forgotten to pack my pre-shave and resorted to using a glycerin-based soap bar (the kind you'd find at a dollar store). Although it lacked the cooling characteristic that the Proraso provided, it really helped protect my more sensitive neck areas and resulted in an above average shave. Needless to say, I now include "dollar soap" in my regular pre-shave rotation.

BTW - this was my debut post on DFS!!

Hands down Mickey Lee Soap Works Pre Shave Butter, in any scent but lime is my favourite.

I do like Maggards Pre Shave Oils too.

I haven't used a pre-shave yet, but I just ordered some Trumper's Lime Skin Food to use before and after the shave. We'll see how it goes.

I normally use Proraso green, white or red based on which soap I'm going to use.

Recently I've experimented with using only jojoba oil on my face followed by a hot towel. This is producing amazing results with my straight razor shaves and I find that it dramatically improves my post shave feel.
