I guess I'm supposed to be impressed by your effeteness, but clearly I'm not.

The Lone Ranger and Tonto, Burton and Taylor, Abbott and Costello, Kirk and Spock, yin and yang, bacon and eggs, leather and lace, Pancho and Lefty, Roy and Dale, pizza and beer, red beans and rice, chips and salsa - now those are exclusive pairings.

But Kav and Kav? Not so much.

Pick any two of the list below and you have a DFP (damn fine pairing)

Ice cold long neck lager, back porch, summer afternoon, baseball game on radio, grass cut, grill lit (charcoal of course), steaks dry rubbed, sweet corn, Brandywine tomato sliced and salted, kids running through the sprinkler, clang of horse shoes hitting post, fresh ice cold long neck lager.

They are a coming together of perfection - or something like that, (I know this from experience).  Smile  An example of when the 'whole' is greater than the sum of its parts. All else in the 'arsenal' is free to make new friends.

I swear by that combination too. If you have or are thinking of getting a Rockwell 6s, its also a perfect Feather partner.

Such thinking, KAV, leads me to purchasing matching aftershaves with shaving soaps. And, I already do that enough.

I don't need anymore excuses to accumulate more! :-)

Since I shave at night I have not really concerned myself with matching scents. I have mostly used the drugstore aftershaves and enjoy them.  Given my recent increase in my soap collection I might have to revisit picking up some of the aftershaves for my favorite soap scents. AD's don't go away they just morph from one aspect to another.   Cry

I'm not good with matching stuff. Only that I use more mean brushes (D0-1, Semogue Boar, 28mm and up badger) with stubborn soaps like MWF, and french soaps that I know can take the onslaught like Cade.

While not exclusive, a match that I use quite a bit is Barrister_N_Mann's Cheshire Shaving Soap with Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet Eau de Toilette.  While Will's Cheshire definitely works quite nicely with other aftershaves/colognes/EdT's, this is the combination I come back to most.

clayton, if you find me effete block me and your worldview is safe from critique. Otherwise keep personal attacks reserved to flies and stray cats.

You generate enough. I'm here to talk shaving and have fun, not pick fights or incur hostility by a comment filtered through this often clumsy media. If I wanted to feel superior I'd buy a goldfish and deny him food. Mellow out. Pax.
