I've had two so far go on me - one is a tube of Simpsons Aftershave Balm, the other a tub of Savon du Midi Mistral (a French croap.) Neither has preservatives such as parabens as far as I can tell. I'm a bit bummed about the Simpsons balm since it was pretty good, though there are other good balms out there. The Mistral was on the list of soaps to eventually use up, but I never cared for the scent or performance so having to toss it in the bin is no big loss.

can't say that I have.

I have had products dry up because the cap wasn't closed entirely or there was a crack in the cap..

I haven't had products go rancid.

But I'd need to check my container box again.

You were here at 3 a. m. Maybe you should get some sleep.

Cella. Turned yellow and lost its scent.

Not rancid (yet).

Had a tub of Cyril Salter cream start to separate after about a year (from cream into solid & liquid). Had to stir before each use.

No products, but a few vendors.

I don't recall which soap it was, though I have had one go rancid. The way I understand it, it depends on whether there are ingredients, such as avacado, that can spoil.

I have some soap that is somewhere between 50 and 100 years old and it is fine

Thankfully nothing yet. Cella got a bit yellow but still performs well.
