Ok so this is a not to far in the distance new release I’ve been working on for this Fall/Winter season. I made the image using AI and it will go in the Humidor Collection. This little scene has some meaning to me as it reminds me of a very vivid dream I had one night back in the 70’s after a few puffs of some of stuff a lot of us smoked back then.  Big Grin

A for those wondering… I quit all forms of smoking shortly after that and have never looked back. Anyway that’s the connection to this image.

I have one problem and I thought why not ask the guys on here before I pay an illustrator a lot of money. If you notice the cigar is not in the Bulldog’s mouth. It’s  on his chin and no matter how I type in the description to change it a completely different image appears and it’s not even close to this image and this is as close to the dream as possible in fact it’s very close. So does anyone know how to move the cigar to his mouth?  It’s just a shot in the dark but I thought I’d ask.

Hope you guys like this one and I’ll keep the Aroma blend under the covers for now but I’m sure you have some idea where it’s going.

I can't help on the generative AI tool prompts. But I was going to suggest an alternative placement of the cigar that might be easier for it, like on an ashtray on the table. However, after trying some mocks in different positions, the image seems to work best with the cigar in the mouth. I included an incredibly primitive mock up just to get a directional sense of what it might look like.

I think your placement of the cigar is right on point.  When I think of someone with big jowls, they've got their stogie in the corner of their mouth.

OMG Dave

That looks amazing and is exactly what I was looking for! I agree the Bulldog has jowls and it looks like the cigar is in his mouth. You have no idea how happy this makes me and if you can please give me a call at your convenience my friend.

Just want you to know you just made my day!

Enjoy your weekend!

Wow Nick nice SOTD photo my friend and that’s a unique brush stand. Is that an antique or something that’s offered? Very cool.

UPDATE:

Ok so I thought I’d report on the Russian Tea and a couple other topics. As I may have mentioned my assistant is gone for 2 weeks as her son is getting married a long ways away from Rochester so I’m on my own till she returns.

So this week my I’m putting together and shipping the vendors orders out so that we can set a release date for one day next week. The people that pre ordered the 7.5 oz version will get a link so that they can get theirs before the release date. At this time there are a couple and If by chance there are any left they will go up with the 4.5 on the release date.

I used both the Shave Soap & Splash yesterday and I thought I’d give my thoughts on them. Performance wise like all the newer F Base so no need to comment on that. What I wanted to let everyone know is that in the shave soap the scent is what I’d call kinda mild as almost every Aromatic ingredient is not known for scent strength and of course in a shave soap it’s going to be diluted more than any post shave product. The Skin Food Splash arms which was infused definitely had more legs and a good way to finish the shave. I really enjoy the scent a lot! The other thing I noticed is the shave soap scent strength seems to be growing as the days go by. Not sure why as it doesn’t contain any wood oil or any other base note that would lift it up. So I’m hoping it continues to do so with age. I made real Russian Tea to drink and this smells almost identical to it so if anyone is wondering what it smells like that’s it. Someone asked if it was anything like Bay Rum because of the Cinnamon and Clove that’s in it and I can confidently say nope..not at all. For me it’s a calming comforting scent that I’d have no problem using before bedtime. I’m very happy with it and I’m also glad I took this project on. So I can’t wait to hear your feedback from those that pick up one.

One thing I want to say about scent strength. I’ve heard and read posts and reviews etc. when someone posts “ I wish the scent were stronger “ with that said of using synthetic fragrance oils or even more so with Aroma Chemicals scent strengths are easier to make stronger if synthetics are your thing but for those of us who prefer natural aromatics the maximum scent strength can only be as strong as the Essential Oils, Absolutes or Distillates are out of the bottle. A dilution will diminish that to different degrees depending on the product environment you put it in. An example would be a Shave soap would eat up a scent much more than a water  based product and an alcohol based product would be the best and because of added ingredients a aftershave would be milder than a cologne or EDP where it’s basically scent and alcohol. Also as far as shave soap goes you can only put in so much before it starts to affect the performance of the soap. This subject is something I’ve wanted to address as I just saw a person post on another forum where he was talking about a coconut scented and I can tell you either natural Coconut C02 or a synthetic Coconut aroma chemical is not going to be super strong as it’s mild right out of the bottle. It needs a lot of help from other notes to bring it up so you can clearly smell it.

Hope this helps a few people to understand this subject.

One other thing is since I’m wearing a lot of different pants for the next 2 weeks for those that have orders or custom orders please have a bit of patience with me as I’m doing my best to keep things moving!

Have a great day!

Frank
