ETHOS Grooming Essentials A New Line

The Ethos Bay Rum and Tortola are both originals while still being bay rums and excellent ones at that.   Thats pretty cool and a testament to Frank's creativity and imagination.  I see no reason why Frank couldn't come up with a third or a fourth version of bay rum.  The possibilities are endless....it boggles the mind.  I love it when talented people apply their talents.  the result is always something good.

Thank you so much for the encouragement and yes and I was afraid to say it but I’ve got a few ideas on some other Bay Rums as I didn’t want anyone thinking I was getting off focus but it’s one of either my blessings or it can be Hell but ideas just keep coming constantly. When I was younger it was music and lyrics. Now it’s all about this crazy hobby we are a bit addicted to. I know that others have done Lime, Coconut and Vanilla Bay Rums so I’m thinking outside the box lately but I’ll keep my thoughts under the covers for now but I’ve already got another batch started with another highlighted aromatic ingredient in there. I’ll post up when the infusion starts to mature.

That’s great news and I knew you wouldn’t stop.  When you love what you’re doing and your on a roll, why stop?  I absolutely love it.  If you haven’t listened to it, I recommend I Don’t Want To Stop on Ozzy Osbourne’s Black Rain album. “All my life I’ve been over the top. I don’t know what I’m doing all I know is I don’t want to stop.”

Maybe it’s my nose but this batch of Tortola smells even better than the last one and I think I know why but I’ll wait to hear the feedback before revealing why I think so.

UPDATES: 

I wanted to make all that are interested aware. Just like we did with the Traditional Bay Rum we will be offering the Tortola in the 7.5 oz and of course the matching Skin Food Splash as the 7.5 oz doesn’t go to the vendors. We will offer the 4.5 oz and all the other post shave products when we ship them out to our vendors and they have them put up on their websites. This way we can all release them together on the same day and time. I'm not sure how many of the 7.5's we will have but I'll update the numbers and post a date and time when they will go live. We will be doing this on all new releases as there seems to be a growing number of customers who like the 7.5 oz size. Oh and BTW I'm increasing the fill on the 4.5 oz size to 4.75 as I like the way the soap looks in the jar better with that fill but I"m not going to change prices. So the label's will still say 4.5 oz on them for now as I have to many that say 4.5 oz but I’ll probably change them moving forward. I thought you all might like to know this info. 

Both the Tortola and the Traditional Bay Rum Skin Food Splashes were filled and labeled today. So we are getting there. 

Also as promised we just created the " Mixology " Collection labels so we will begin the process of getting a good assortment of shave soaps in the 1 oz jars. Probably looking at Feb before some of them become available as I want a decent assortment of scents to start with. 

Next up is the Beaute Sauvage ( Tiger ) group of products for the World Wildlife Foundation. This is overdue so it's next up. 

We also are creating the labels for the Russian Tea as the infusion is coming along really good and we will be releasing that shortly after the Beaute Sauvage. 

We will also be releasing the Derma Boost Rejuvenating Elixir very shortly. It’s contains an amazing concentration of skin beneficial ingredients that can be used in a variety of ways that I’ll explain in a separate post on the Derma Boost.

Frank...are the 2 ounce jars the "samples" which you discussed with us a few months ago?  Will these be available in each soap/creme product you produce, or just in a few select scents?  Will these be available from your site only, or will they be available at the vendor sites too?  I am looking forward to trying samples of Ethos scents which I do not yet have in my collection.

So sorry, I made some typos ( wrong letters, numbers and words in the last post which  I’m going to edit as I don’t want any misinformation to spread. 

The Mixology jars are 1 oz not 2 oz. I’ll post up all the information on this collection in a couple days and answer your questions in more depth.

I promised I’d post up about this. 

Mixology will be a new Collection in the ETHOS line up. These are 1 oz jars and here’s the idea. Here’s a chance for you to get creative. There will be multiple aroma options available. All will have the same top label and the bottom will reflect the base ingredients which will include our F Base and Tallow Crème base. We’ve had many customers who will mix one of our scents with a different one in a shave bowl which gave me the idea. Why not give the customers the ability to get even more creative without having to buy full sizes of our shaving soaps & crèmes. We will start out with a few good mixing aromas and will be adding more and more. We will post up some recipes and add more as well. Also will add mixtures our customers have conjured up. So if you have tried this and have had a good experience please share it with us by emailing me using the email address on the website. Here’s a couple of examples that have been submitted to us. Vanilla Safi with Blood Orange, Lavender Supreme with Peppermint just so you get the idea. Like all our Shave Soaps & Crèmes these will be priced according to the Aromatic ingredients. How this works on the website and I’ll use this as an example. You can purchase let’s say Lavender Supreme by itself for mixology, for trial or use it as a travel size. Let’s say it’s $12 for the lavender Supreme 1 oz but if you were to purchase a full size Peppermint Shave soap in either size along with the 1 oz Lavender Supreme the cost will be $10. So there’s a price reduction when purchasing a full sized Shave Soap or Crème. Again this is an example and prices will vary. The Aroma will be listed on a separate label on the jar. Also every time we make a new batch of the full size jars in different Aromas we will make the 1 oz sizes to add to the availability of scent options for you to choose from. Again look at these as a trail size to see how you like a scent or a one of our bases, or use them as a travel size so you can take one of your favorites with you or use them to get creative and become a mixologist. This is just the beginning we have other ideas and products to add to the Mixology Collection moving forward. We expect to have the Collection and some scents available sometime in the month of February.

Hope you like the label. I wanted something simple and  colorful that reflects the idea of mixing different aromas.

The Bay Rum 1 oz are already made my friend. Couldn’t forget that! 
An I tried mixing it with Peppermint and I actually liked it. Just a little 3 parts Bay Rum and 1 part Peppermint.

A heads up. 

On Friday at 10am EST the 7.5 oz Tortola will be available on the ETHOS website along with the matching Skin Food Splash. The 4.5 oz and the Skin Food Splash & Lotion along with the EDT will be going out to the vendors along with the Traditional Bay Rum in the 4.5 oz and all the Traditional Bay Rum post  shave products which now include an EDT and a Tallow Bay Rum Shave Stick. Soon I’ll be adding a Bay Rum Shampoo, Conditioner and a Bath Bar
