In anticipation of Frank's soon to be released Tortola soap, I'm enjoying the excellent scent of the islands, Bay Rum.

WOW another great looking SOTD Photo.. and may I ask what is the Razor head? I know that's a Timeless handle.

A little update:

I'm here to announce that I'm going to offer 13 jars of the 7.5 oz Bay Rum on the ETHOS website on a first come basis. I made a huge batch and most are in the 4.5 oz size but I had a few requests for the 7.5 oz size so I got 13 jars after filling all the 4.5 oz sizes which BTW are all filled over the 4.5 oz that's on the label. I'll have them up on Wednesday morning at 9am EST. 

Since the Traditional Bay Rum is a restock I don't have to wait for the vendors to get theirs but I'm going to wait until I ship the 4.5 oz sizes out to them which will be this week and then I'll put them up on my website.  Tortola will follow suit within a week.

It's a Blackland Sabre.  I'm not finding the regular handle to my liking so I threw on one of my extra Crown handles.  Sabre with OG handle - 108g, Sabre with Crown - 76g.  The OG handle by itself weighs more than the Sabre with the Crown handle. 

My biggest problem is I'm finding GEM blades sux.  I've tried blades from multiple sources and so far they tug and don't cut very well.  I'm think'n there's something I don't know about GEM PTFE blades.

It's a Blackland Sabre.  I'm not finding the regular handle to my liking so I threw on one of my extra Crown handles.  Sabre with OG handle - 108g, Sabre with Crown - 76g.  The OG handle by itself weighs more than the Sabre with the Crown handle. 

My biggest problem is I'm finding GEM blades sux.  I've tried blades from multiple sources and so far they tug and don't cut very well.  I'm think'n there's something I don't know about GEM PTFE blades.

Understanding blades are the most YMMV thing in wet shaving …

Have you tried driving them super shallow - like angle of the Sabre cap shallow?  This may help, it certainly works very well for me.
