Had another go with Ethos for my shave today and I think my first shave was still good, but today's was better and I think I loaded a bit more product and it made a difference. I smeared what I had left which was about a almond size smear into a loading dish. I don't think a peanut size sample is enough for me to get a solid experience from. The thickness in the lather was a bit denser like I would expect and the lather took the water well, developed nice body, and was great with the slickness. My post shave wasn't as dry as the first, probably closer to what I normally get after rinsing. I am looking forward to use the next Ethos sample, not sure whether I will do the Lavender or the Pineapple. Looking forward to trying out one of your aftershaves sometime in the future Frank. Dragonsbeard I'll update you again after the next shave and how it does.

Got a big package from Frank yesterday and finally got to use my goodies. Very impressed with the custom collection and especially the replenish! Had a great shave with my citrus set and used the first lather and I noticed a difference in the slickness

I used my set the other day for the first time, and Frank's base is incredible. If you lile lavender scents I think you will really enjoy this soap and sfs!

May all the risks in your life be so low....

Heads up on Lavender, it likes a lot of water added slowly. Other ETHOS soaps can be lathered with reckless abandon but my experience is this one thirsty for whatever reason; not a difficult lather rather requires more water added slowly. The result though is incredible with the scent unlike anything outside a French country field mid summer...intoxicating and without any synthetic trace whatsoever.  A discerning gentlemen such as you will appreciate it immediately

[Image: uO18l8Y.jpg]This was my second use of Ethos Lavender Surprise and it is truly an excellent soap as mentioned throughout this thread. The Skin Food Splash is also fantastic. Not shown was the First Lather and the Revitalizing Serum. Needless to say, all products made by Frank are top shelf and of exceptional quality.

It’s NOT a risk....it’s a sure thing!
Unlike some others here...I get much better results by loading right out of the tub and face lathering rather than scooping out a bit and making the lather in a bowl. Try both methods and see what works best for you.

Another phenomenal shave with ETHOS. Only takes a peanut sized glob to get enough lather for 3+ passes. One of my favorite things about this soap is how quickly it becomes a usable lather. Load, a bit of palm lathering to get some volume, and start painting it on my face while adding water. Seems like all of my other "high end" soaps need 5+ minutes of building to get a shavable lather, plus more to get the right consistency.

I received my box of Ethos Friday and just finished my first shave with Success about 20 minutes ago.
It's pretty good! Although my skin feels pretty tight after shaving, which I get the same reaction from every soap containing coconut oil.
It's a VERY soft soap and I made the mistake of loading the brush directly from the tub (and overloaded it). Now I understand why there were little scoops in the box. Big Grin
I love the scent! It's a very good match for Creed Aventus (my fav).
