Last night I used the set the lather is excellent I have to adjust the water a little.

Post shave excellent.

I only had a little burn with the skin food that disappeared soon is normal on my face, I have reactions with many citrus.

Your stuff is amazing and soon I order more sure Smile

PD. The scent is delicious!

Thank you sir and it’s normal to get a little tingle the first couple of times using the EOS Complex as that tells me it’s doing its job!

Isn’t the “tingle” and “burn” just caused by the alcohol in the Skin Food...like other alcohol-based aftershaves?

This little burn is different from when you apply the Splash .. Skin food lasts about 5 minutes.

You will probably get the typical Alcohol sting although mine just doesn't have the normal amount because of the added ingredients but the other kind of tingle/sting can come from the EOS Complex or from one of the fresh milks I use and it's hard to tell which one but most of the times it's the EOS Complex as it balances out your skin if it's off and also it has some detoxifying ingredients in it that can cause a little tingle. Same could be said of Camel or Sheep's milk.  Basically in simple terms if your skin is out of balance or pores are clogged from using products that clog them you make get a tingle while the Skin beneficial ingredients do their job to address those issues. The tingling will usually go away in 2 to 3 uses and sometimes it takes a little longer like a week or it can go away after that first use. It's all dependent on each individual's skin. I'll also add I've never had one returned because of continuous tingling or stinging up to this point. Also Hyaluronic acid which is in the EOS Complex and sometimes I add more to the Skin Food splash can also give a little tingle.

Great question and thank you for bringing it up.

Thanks for the explanation Frank. But...if it’s caused by the EOS...wouldn’t you initially get the “tingle” from applying your soap as well as it also contains the EOS and the milks?

Speaking anecdotally, having used the panoply of ETHOS products, do in fact get the “tingle” on the Clean and Lavender versions but find the others much less so if at all, particularly the Pineapple Noir. Have attributed the products sans “tingle” effect attributable to the fruit extracts but without any specific knowledge of the mechanism.

Yes it can and has to some of my customers and it goes away like I said in a use or two.  Again a different tingle than a normal alcohol tingle. If you’ve ever had a facial or mask done by a professional you might relate to the tingling feeling that was mentioned.

Pores that are clogged once cleaned can be one cause for example. . There are a few other reasons I could go into if I had the time but work calls and a lot of info will be on my website once it’s up

Thanks Frank.  Guess my own personal experience is just a quick but intense alcohol burn from the Skin Food...No “tingle” from the Skin Food or Soap...I realize YMMV is the rule here....we all have different skin chemistry..sensitivities....prep...water quality...etc.

Did a trial today with one of my top 5 soaps from another vendor but using First Lather PreShave. Now, this a damn good soap but the First Lather really placed it in another league. Apply between every pass, which may be a little overkill but then again, my skin really bad. Highly recommend this product and love the screw dispenser, makes application easy without the fingers getting slippy.

Wonderful shave tonight testing out the new ETHOS/CBL scent and Replenish. Very slick, cushion is fantastic, wonderful post-shave feel, and the scent is amazing! The closest I can think of to this scent is a fresh key lime pie without the cracker crust. The cooling agent is perfect in this Texas heat!
The reason for two razors is I wanted to see which razor was better between the Vector and OREN.

That's interesting... my soap came in a different container (almost transparent) hopefully they didn't send me some old stock/version  Huh oh well  Smile

I believe ETHOS and CBL (the collaborators) send the same product packaged differently
