I cam across these nightlights. They are switch or outlet coverplates with a built in LED nightlight. They use 10 cents worth of electricity per year.

The best part is the ease of installation. They have built in "wings" that make contact with the electricity leads on the outlet or switch box.
You just remove the old cover plate and slide or snap these in place. Literally takes 3 minutes.

I put them in outlets in the bathrooms and on 3 switch plates. They have a light sensor and a off/low/high switch. ML and I both love these. They are a touch pricey but worth it for ease of installation.
