DR Harris, CF or AOS?

Castle Forbes Lime is my choice. I've tried all of these and many more. I didn't get citrus from Arlington and AOS Lemon just didn't do anything for me. The CF is one of the few that I could use exclusively if something wierd happened over which I had no control. I like CF Cedarwood even better than Lime.

I still haven't been able to pull the trigger on the cedarwood after reading too many reviews of it smelling like peanut butter!

It only took our medical system a year to do an ultrasound and discover multiple kidney stones after I listed a past history of kidney stones on my initial patient profile. I asked about
new procedures for breaking them up and a very serious doctor asked if I thought I was the president or something? Nooooooo, I'm just a veteran unlike them. What does this have to do with citrusy soaps? My regimen of cure is drinking lemon water throughout the day to change my PH and tossing a lot of kidney stone forming foods the previous doctor told me to incorporate in my diet for chronic anemia after missing the part about my passing blood. I've had a lifelong love for grapefruit and have one daily. I'd drink lime margaritas but alcohol is out too. I liked Harris best of those mentioned. A nice bath soap pairing is Pre de Provence Argumes which translates as citrus and smells like a nice grapefruit to me. The bars are big as the brick I want to throw at my doctors.

Cf is sort of overrated for the price - imho - couple of bucks more and you are in pc, mdc category. Having said that I have Castleforbes lavender, Sandalwood and Cedarwood, and I love the Cedarwood sent

I feel the exact opposite. CF is the longest lasting cream of any soap or cream I've ever owned. And Lime and Lavender both smell phenomenal. MdC might last a little longer, but I would't know for sure because I get sick of every scent after using it a few times and sold off every jar I owned, including a brain bowl. CF beats MdC in price, ease of acquiring, post shave, & slickness IMO. Plus, you can usually get a jar of CF for $32-$34 when merchants run a 10%-15% off. MdC costs roughly $60 with shipping. If anything is overpriced, I'd say MdC takes the cake there.

However, I'm happy to hear another positive on the cedarwood scent!

Reviving a somewhat old thread, but I felt the need to comment on CF Lime. Honestly, every time I use it, i'm blown away. I read many reviews a while back where people stated it didn't lather as well as the lavender or protect as good, but I'm having the opposite effect. I absolutely love CF Lavender, but if I happen to nick myself while using CF Lime (which is a very rare occasion), the lime oil will always heal the nick within seconds. I mean it's truly astonishing how fast this cream heals a cut. I believe this cream is better than alum, post shave lotions, and styptic's after a 'rougher' shave. I even tested this cream directly on a nick after shaving with a different soap. I scooped a little out of the jar and put it straight on the cut, and it stopped immediately. Additionally, I find lathering with this one just as incredibly easy as the Lavender variety, except this obviously has better post shave qualities for me. I don't think I'll ever be without this cream. If you haven't used this stuff, you should take the plunge!

I'm still hesitant on the Cedarwood though. Thinking Marlborough might be a better option for sandalwood/cedarwood..

I'm in the Castle Forbes camp.

Arlington is not a citrus frag to my nose. It's a fougere, or a fern-based scent. So I'd rule that out. I've never used CF but I have smelled it. I have used AOS products and like them. Still, I'd go for CF. I love the lime scent. And I plan to splurge and get some soon.

I really like Castle Forbes Lime, and will have to try my DR Harris Windsor Cream next (I don’t have Arlington).  I have used it before, but not in a while!

Certainly NOT AOS...in my opinion!
