One of my favorite scents of all time. I'm sad to see it go especially since it is discontinued.
Apparently the fragrance ingredients have gotten prohibitively expensive so it wouldn't be profitable for Dan to make it anymore.

Don't you hate when that happens, and not just with scents but with soap lines (think Barrister & Mann's Latha line, for example or a company going out of business like Desmond's Barrow or Tim's). Then, when it comes to eau de toilettes and colognes, there is the always dreaded word "reformulation", which is almost never a good sign.
Yeah sometimes it gets somewhat annoying. With the constant "base race" going on, some artisans feel pressure to update their formulas every year or two. I've found that sometimes I actually prefer some of the older bases that aren't being made anymore.
Same here. some of the older formulas I find to be better than the newer base but not always the case. Just shaved with CRSW L,Orange Jardin in the OG base and find it superior to the Glide, same for Lisa's hard pucks although the newer base is very good as well. Tiki Vegan base comes to mind as well since it has been discontinued for quite some time now. It's all a matter of preference and that new and improved is all a matter of opinion.
R.I.P. "Barbershop Taper Fade" by First Canadian Shave Soap Co. The original formula, which is no longer in production.
This was the second tub of the first soap I had ever bought online, in 2016, while they were still just on Etsy. It was bundled with a Semogue 620 brush.
The scent was wonderful, heavy on the bergamot but, alas, that faded two years ago. It was still a good performing tallow soap to the end.

We could be Heroes, just for one day.
