Don't quit on your lather too soon...

So true. For instance Caties and B&M burst into thick lather in seconds but if you continue to add water slowly, the lather and slickness will continue to build up and improve the more time you take to incorporate the water into the lather.

^Nice! I got similar results this morning with MW Orange Vanilla. I have to say it was a great shave! Sometimes MW can be finicky for whatever reason, but when everything comes together, it's definitely a top tier soap.

I'm going to have to 2nd this!  Two nights in a row with very lovely MW lather for me!

The most success I've had with Mystic Water shaving soaps has been using them in shaving stick form.  And, I think I attribute the success with MW shaving sticks to applying more product to my face, followed by gradually adding water to the mix while face lathering.  Although, the last two shaves I've loaded the brush and started creating the lather on top of the puck a la "the Merkur Man method."  I've also been using tips posted by celestino while working on my lathering ability of Mystic Water Soap.  I did have some inconsistency in the beginning with Mystic Water, but as primotenore has said, "Don't give up on your lather too soon!"

I am new to wet shaving and I have scoured this site and others for information and help. I have to say that this is the best advice I have received.
