I let my blade soak in a puddle of Isopropyl alcohol 91% in my shave mug for about ten minutes before every shave.

I dip my razor and blade in 99% alcohol after I rinse it off. Read somewhere around five years ago reduces rust and speeds up the drying of water from one razor and blade. Blades doo seem to hold their edge longer but could be just me

I rinse off my blade with water only after the shave.

When I'm ready to shave again, I rinse it again with water only.

91% alcohol bath after each shave, mainly for water displacement. The razor takes the bath, not me!

I rinse the blade and wipe it off by "stropping" on a paper towel.
