I miss WSO. Wet Shaving Obsession. Those were outstanding soaps.

A good shave is a small act of reclaiming order, a ritual of renewal . . . We all have moments when life becomes unruly. It’s fitting from time to time to recognize the quiet courage it takes to find one’s way back. Bouki

It's been a while since these three threw in the towel, but you can add Reef Point Soaps, Cold River Soap Works, and Soap Smooth to the list.

EDIT: I see Cold River was already mentioned, but I thought of another couple - Storybook Soapworks and West of Olympia

London Oatcake Shaving Soap. They had ceased production before I got one of their soaps, Overgrowth, as a freebee in a trade. I was very pleasantly surprised, a lovely fougere reminiscent of Chatillon Lux's late lamented TSM Fougere. I would happily pick up either if I still could.

I miss their soaps and aftershave, specifically the hill country dew and especially the Mr pepper.

Slightly off topic but.....

I am so disgusted with the aroma of Cella's new Crema Sapone (sandalwood, supposedly) that I am never, ever going to blind buy any fragrant shave soap again. I will probably give my tub to my barber as they like to use cremes for the back of the neck shave. Also has a very disappointing experience with a well respected artisan shave soap maker that was also a blind buy. I must be a lot more particular than some of the reviewers are. As a result, I will probably have room in my den for another soap by next summer. Shannon's Rust Belt soaps look good and are sort of local, I think there is a brick and mortar place that sells their products within driving distance. Hopefully they are still around by then!
