Jeff, I love the touch of Fu Man Chu look!  Oddly, my beard tends to come in a bit thin so, while I like that look (it looks great on you), I don't think it would work for me.

When I started my handlebar back in February, I purchased these two small books.  They are written in a lighthearted way and give tips on how to grow out and shape a bunch of different moustache types.

Looking back to the first post it is obvious that you didn't have to shave first... But I think it's in all of our minds that people usually shave for Movember so I think I got confused. lol. Also, I don't think my wife would like me to grow my mustache that long.

initially that was the direction I was going in, but I was too incredibly busy with work and I was going away for 2 weeks on vacation in the beginning on November to be bothered with it. I also thought about just not doing a best mustache contest this year...a few people contested that. Tongue

We have a year to smooth out the rough edges but I still like the idea of a contest. It certainly goes towards a good cause. Smile

Wow! I really wasn't expecting to win at all. Thanks for doing the competition again. Hopefully, if you decide to do it again next year we'll have some more participants. Many thanks DFS!
