Razor: Henson
Blade: Wizamet (?)
Brush: Teton Shaves Zen Series "Bob Ross"
Soap: Stirling Texas on Fire
AS: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS: Stirling Texas on Fire

Great shave with Stirling Texas on Fire and can't think of a better scent to have while camping than a nice campfire. The brush is a little stiff to splay as I like but will give it some time to see if it loosens up any before attempting anything with it. Have a great day DFS and don't forget to turn your clocks back tonight !!

Razor: Cooper Flip Top
Blade: Wizamet (4)
Brush: Grizzly Bay Oumo SHD
Soap: Ethos Mèlange d'agrumes
AS: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS: Ethos Mèlange d'agrumes

We've all been thru it...........you see people with a really cool looking razor and they say it shaves great. Then you start looking for one and they are hard to find and the prices because of their rarity are too far north for you to stomach. You keep looking and one comes along that you think you have a chance at and low and behold you get it purchased. Then the wait begins and you hope it comes in looking even close to the pics you saw on the sale. The day it arrives you open the package and are somewhat disappointed that it isn't quite as good looking as the pics lead you to believe but you know from reviews the shave will make it worth it. The morning of your shave within a few strokes you know this isn't working for me..........................we've all had that moment. I have to tell you for me this was NOT that moment  Big Grin Although I may need to play some more to get the angle and efficiency to where I want I am pleasantly surprised with this little gem from Cooper. Definitely happy to have it in the vintage lineup of razors I have to choose from. Have a great day DFS !!!!

I haven't sampled that particular soap but if you like some smoke in your soap or aftershave you should try to find some The Holy Black Sandalwood Smoke or Cracklin Rosie.  Both are lightly smokey and very nice.  My wife doesn't object to either of them. Smile

Thanks for the tips, Sandalwood Smoke sounds good. Cracklin Rosie probably not if it's a rose scent as I don't care much for rose. Thanks again

Yes it is a rose scent so if you're not a rose fan then you should pass.  In my opinion, Sandalwood Smoke is the better of the two.  Gunpowder Spice is their most popular scent and the one you are most likely to find for sale at their website.  Most of their other scents are hit and miss or in the BST

Yep I googled it. Not only a rose sent but more Rose forward than the smoke so a pass for me. I'll keep my eyes open for the Sandalwood Smoke. I've had holy black before and I'm not a huge fan of their base but it's decent enough that if it's a good sense I'd probably grab one or two. Gunpowder Spice has been on my radar for quite some time so that may be the second one if I got two.

Marko on a side note I wanted to ask, I know they don't have a journals section here and so I'm kind of treating this sort of as a journal type spot to post my shave of the days with thoughts which some days is nothing and other days might be long and rambling and will have shave videos also occasionally. This seemed to be the least active area that I could do this without disturbing others. I didn't want the SOTD thread to be clogged or flooded with responses on those longer days. If this is not okay please let me know here or send me a private message with a cease and desist order LOL
