Nice Williams Wednesday shave with the Krect Spiral Curve Slant, man that's a mouthful. Nice and all around great smooth shave. If you want to watch, there's a 13 minute video. Not much said as I was half awake. Got an old razor coming to the den that I've watched for a long time and finally snagged one...............Cheers and have a tremendous day !!

Razor: Schick N1
Blade: Twin Schick (4)
Brush: Stirling Synthetic
Soap: Ariana & Evans NYC
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Ariana & Evans NYC
Fragrance: Penhaligon's Lothair

VARIETY is baaaaaaaack ! YES !!
Chose the NYC for today which is a nice scent and some cool artwork as well on the tub. I have to say that it feels like cheating when using an Injector razor and I have to wonder if I had started with them, would i have ever tried anything else. Why did they not continue to be produced by Schick or Eversharp. We seem to always fall victim to the new mousetrap and desire better when best may have been these razors. Just a mindless and close shave that would rival any modern day Stainless Steel art designed razor. Maybe not it appearance an coolness factor, but definitely in what the tool was supposed to produce. Maybe I'll sell ALL my razors except the injectors......................Nah, I like the history and the different "tools" but today's shave had me wondering if I could have just 1 razor for the rest of my life, would I pick for function or cool factor? Which would I choose?...................Okay, let's shake off those crazy and rational thoughts and get some coffee and something sweet to go with it. Have a "Stupid Fun Day" today Guys it's Thursday, my Friday !!

Fat Friday !!
Friday February 26, 2021
Razor: G.E. Jones Shake Sharp
Blade: Double Stacked Wizamets (4)
Brush: Knothead Zebrawood
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: CHH Tobacco
Fragrance: CK Euphoria Amber Gold

Fat Friday shave today and it was just splendid. Only frustrating thing was not what drives Joseph primotenore nuts (the puck spinning in the jar) Mine was sitting still as it stuck after the 1st shave, but I also hate the fact that it doesn't fill the jar to the sides all the way and when lathering off the puck, you get suds sitting in the crevices. I took care of the situation after asking the wife for the donation to the den of a grater. Next shave with it will be SO MUCH better ! 1st use of the Knothead Zebrawood/Maggards SHD from the BST. I was watching this handle in his storefront and wanted it but am so brush heavy right now I hesitated. I didn't know it sold recently and when I saw it pop up in the BST it had to be bought. Love not just the look of the handle but also the feel of the handle and the SHD knot. The Shake Sharp did it's typical amazingly smooth job. I feel good and smell better. Take care and be safe out there today !!

Two great write ups back-to-back and I missed them both until now.  The important thing is that you are enjoying your shaving - always nice to see.  And with slick gear like that, it is no surprise.  BTW, you may not know this, but you are now a fellow member of the “MWF What were they thinking” club.  Great soap, but ...

Thanks Mike, I guess it is necessary due to making the refill pucks. Easily fixed, Have a great day !!

You don't have that problem with Tabac Dave. Their bowl has a couple grooves that you have to push the soap onto. Tabac is thus superior to MWF.  Cool
