It was great! Thanks!

Yea...a video, finally! There’ll be another for at least the inaugural Henson shave too later this week. Excited to try it...and to dig into my whiskey sampler too!

Hope Dave is well ! Concerned for him with him being quiet and how things are out there........

No, I don't expect you too. He's a big boy and I'll catch his video in the morning. Thanks

Razor: Carbon Cx (+) Plate
Blade: Wizamet (2)
Brush: Rubberset 400/26mm Oumo Badger Fan
Soap: Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary
Fragrance: Penhaligon's Endymion Cologne

As I expected I had far more growth than normally this morning. This tells me what I suspected with the .71 Minus (-) Plate marketed as Mild, I got what felt like a close shave but not as close as I can and prefer. The N075 is better in this area for me. Today was with the .88 Plus (+) Plate and what a difference a day makes !! clint64 you NEED this razor......................just kidding  Big Grin Today the lack of the blade being held closer to the cutting edge was still heard and felt (I expect this on all 4 plates but we"ll see) in the shave but you could tell we were getting the job done. I will say it was a smooth and comfortable shave that got me to the glass smooth skin I long for every shave and I can tell this shave will last me the entire day. While smooth I don't think this is an autopilot razor for me like the Yates is. While smooth and comfortable I could tell that if not giving attention and thought (Hey my mind wonders at times while shaving) to the shave it could bite and hard. That said, it never did and it was a gloriously good shave for the books. I'll probably move on to the 1.08 (++) Plate tomorrow but may come back to visit this plate before being done as long as I don't get distracted---------------------LOOK Squirrel !!!!!!!!!!! LOVE this scent from SV and hope they do a EDP soon but till then one of my favorite's Endymion is a nice player with it. Have a Stupid Fun day everyone !!!

Razor: Carbon Cx .68 (Original) Plate
Blade: Wizamet (3)
Brush: Sorrentino Cocobolo/Cashmere
Soap: Lakewood Sweet Orange Chili Pepper
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Nivea Deep Comfort
Fragrance: BVLGARI Aqva Amara

So due to a request I decided to slip in the Original Plate today which is a .68 gap but that is deceiving as this if I understand correctly is the most aggressive plate and has the most blade exposure. I have to be honest that the different plates have come out in a odd order and I feel it's all over the map and very confusing for anyone that is looking to buy one. VERY thankful for the pass a round to try them all. The problem is that blade gap is NOT the only thing to consider but everyone gets fixated on it. This is a perfect example as this .68 gap I imagine has more blade exposure because it had more blade feel for sure over the .88 (+) Plate. Still the wtg and xtg passes were still smooth and comfortable. When it came to the atg pass the flex of the blade was more pronounced and made for a rough feeling pass. This is precisely why I prefer a design where the blade is clamped closer to the cutting edge of the blade. I got an extremely close shave and the face feels great much like yesterdays which yielded a long lasting shave result. Still between this and the .88 (+) Plate I lean towards the (+) Plate for the balance btween comfort and efficiency. On to the (++) 1.08 tomorrow. The 1508.5 of the Sweet Orange Chili Pepper continued today also but back to soap variety/choice tomorrow also. Have a Stupendous day !!
